Who doesn't love a good 4th of July Parade? Chair lined streets decked out in red, white, and blue, children, dogs on leashes, lemonade, icees, firetrucks, military and civic leaders, scout troops, floats, clowns, community, the love of our country, and the flag!
This shadow box is inspired by memories of the Bristol 4th of July Parade in Rhode Island. It is the oldest continuous Independence Day celebration in the U.S., dating back to 1785.
This whimsical, emotional piece tells the story of freedom, community, and good times.
