A music-themed art show at Canal Quarter Arts in Fredericksburg, VA, inspired this.  For the show, it was named Stairway to Heaven in reference to the song by Led Zeppelin. 

Although a great name and inspiration for the show, after consideration, I felt the name should be "Angels on the Bayou," a visual allegory for the soul's journey.  Against a sky of mystical, sun-drenched colors, among the moss trees, it's the moments when we become an angel, our souls accepted as we are, and the golden staircase awaits our journey to the higher realm.
